Meanwhile, Offline…
I’ll be the first to admit that when someone I admire stops posting online, it takes a while before I’ll notice.
However, during my recent hiatus, I tried my best to convey to my community beforehand that I would be gone for a while. My reason for leaving was to address health issues that had yet to be resolved after over a decade of trial & error.
I am happy to report that I was able to get some really good answers to my health questions. Through lots of research, Reddit, and TMI conversations with my best friend; I was able to present my ideas to a new primary care doctor, get recommended to the right specialists, go through a series of tests, and finally get on the path to getting diagnosed. (I’ll share more about that soon!)
Could I have done all of that while continuing to share my love of thrifted fashion online? Maybe. There were a lot of days where I was tempted to re-download the Instagram app and share a quick pic of what I was wearing. But instead, I documented the highlights and am sharing them in this post today.
My real life was full of doctor’s appointments, quick trips to pick up groceries, and dominating at Words with Friends during my internet break.
Like many people sheltering-in-place, I didn’t have a lot of opportunities to get glam. Despite that, I still tried to do my best with my given situations. I may have chosen to wear sweats a lot, but I added an Outfit Repeater twist to them.
Here’s what I wore while I was on hiatus!
What I Wore on Lazy Days
I still wouldn’t call myself a “sweatpants person” but I do appreciate their function for certain activities.
Before the pandemic, I owned zero pairs of lounge pants. That changed when I needed a pair for a one-off acupuncture appointment (not for me!) and later for multiple chiropractor appointments (highly recommend!). Eventually, they became my go-to bottoms for any medical-related visit.
I’m still on the hunt for the perfect joggers (thrifting them has been harder than I anticipated!) but am getting by with styling my ordinary sweatpants with cute tops and wearing leggings with long tunics, which has been one of my favorite grab-and-go looks for years.
What I Wore to “Dress Up”
Part of my “recovery”, if you will, is slowly incorporating my old habits back into my routine. Some days are more successful than others! 😜
One of those habits is putting on a little makeup (I have a super simple non-toxic regime) and the other habit is GETTING DRESSED!
Having brain fog for the last few years has really clouded my creative thinking but it’s been very therapeutic to take my time and put together an outfit that I feel good in!
And that’s a glimpse at what I’ve worn for the last few months!
What I Will Wear in The Future
Now that I’ve had a chance to step back and refresh my perspective; I’m hoping to get back into fashion blogging and share some really cool thrifted content with you.
Please be sure to let me know in the comments if there are any ideas you have or fashion questions I can help answer! I’d love to help. 🙂

Also, a BIG thank you to everyone who has continued to follow me during my hiatus, for reaching out and taking the time to send a prayer or good vibe my way.
I’m nowhere near “healed” (nor is that ever really a possibility) but having a name for my symptoms is very encouraging. Now I can move forward and take care of myself the right way! I hope that you all take care of yourselves.. and be excellent to each other! 😀
I am loving the outfit in the top right corner of What I Wore to “Dress Up”! Love a duster for thr summer when I’m npt keen on getting the arms out
Hope you’re doing okay xx

Hey Hannah, so happy to see you back on your blog and YouTube! I loved all your outfits, but the dress that contained different shades of blue, with the hint of yellow, was so gorgeous! I can’t wait to see more of your fabulous outfits moving forward. Hope you are having a really excellent day!
