You don’t have to have a thrifting uniform to go thrifting, but it helps!
What I wear to go thrifting isn’t as jazzy as my usual outfits. Like most thrifters, my clothes are there to serve a purpose and that purpose is squeezing down crowded aisles, using the open floor as my dressing room, anticipating temperature changes and, lastly, to look good.
This is what I wore on my most recent outing and I thought it was the perfect example to give you some inspiration on what to wear on your next thrifting trip.
I think I’ve mentioned before that leggings and a tunic are my favorite quick-grabs on early mornings. While this is my thrifting uniform, it’s also my babysitting uniform, my lazy day uniform, my… well, you get the picture.
My fear of pairing red with my green hair has finally ceased. I finally feel comfortable rocking these two colors together. One might even think I went a little overboard wearing this red tunic with red lipstick, and one might be wrong. The red theme continued by adding this stellar sunglasses pin on my vest. I like to think that wearing thrifted items brings me some kind of luck + it helped to add a little personality to an otherwise simple outfit.
Lastly, I picked flats because I like having footwear that is easy to get on and off for trying on potential shoes. You just never know where you’ll meet your new favorite pair!
As the months start getting hotter, I’ll most likely switch things up to something more along the lines of what I talked about in my “5 Ways To Step Up Your Summer Outfits” post. But for now, this is good enough for me!
I guess you’ll have to wait until Friday to see how lucky I was with thrifting this month. That’s when I’ll be posting my new thrift haul video for your viewing pleasure. I can’t wait to show you!
What do you usually wear when you have a day of thrifting ahead of you? Do you put any thought into or do you just wing it? I’m very curious to know!
I’m linking up with Being Zhenya for #ThriftStyleThursday.

Forever 21 leggings, $3.80
Black Wal-Mart flats, $6
Revlon lipstick in Really Red
I agree, thrifting uniform definitely helps! I like to wear something simple, so that I can quickly try things on. It’s one of my biggest pet peeves when people take forever in the fitting room!

Yep, I rarely go thrifting in my “blog clothes”. I’m usually in jeans, a scoop neck tee, and a headscarf to keep my hair out of the way. And slip on shoes are a must! I have gone thrifting after work (back when I worked) in a dress, a belt, tie up shoes, etc, and it’s such a pain! This is a pretty cute outfit regardless, though. That brooch!
