Life’s too short to wear boring clothes so why not wear ALL THE COLORS?!
I love that fall gives us a license to break out of our summer style rut and wear as many layers of clothes as we’d like without overheating. Case in point: this outfit post that I wore ALL the colors for. Or, y’know, at least one from each side of the color wheel.
This may have been a case of my creativity having a good day (I put this outfit together on a the first try!) or an attempt to compete with my purple hair. Either way, I’m pretty pleased with the outcome.
This beautiful navy dress was thrifted by my friend Samantha (remember the video I got it in?) and I was positive it would be perfect to wear in the fall. Something about the combination of the blue dress and the navy green tights just feels so quintessentially fall to me.
I’ve worn this outfit a few times since (can you blame me? it’s cute!) and I haven’t felt a need to switch out the accessories. The belt and the unseen shoes give a perfect nod to retro while the globe necklace makes me feel like I can take on whatever the world throws at me. Hardy har har!
Besides this outfit coming together perfectly, I’d venture to say that the photography played a big part in this outfit post, too.
Most people only saw this look while I was running errands but you have the advantage of seeing it paired together with beautiful, late autumn, sunset lighting, in a wide-open field.
Putting together an outfit post for a style blog may be a tedious process but it’s all worth it for posts like this!
Thrifted Gifted dress
Green thrifted tights, $1.50
Retro style Outlet Store flats, $10
Cognac Bow Thrifted belt, .25 cents
Amazon globe necklace, $2
Red JuJu Amulette by NYX lipstick
It’s a lovely dress andI love the combination of green and blue. Kx
Nice! The bow belt and necklace are fantastic! <3
