Every fashionista wants to dress cool but not break the bank, especially at Christmas when you want to save money and spend it on the special people on your gift list! Here’s how I sleigh my holiday outfits and navigate multiple gatherings as an outfit repeater!
Christmas Time Again
The holidays are truly our time to shine. There are so many fun occasions to dress up for that you might get swept up in the idea that you have to buy something new to wear to all of them.
Not only is this silly because most people won’t notice that you re-wore your favorite red pants (you’d actually probably get a ton of compliments), but it can also get costly!
One Outfit, Multiple Parties
I only buy new clothes for events every once in a while. After years of being an outfit repeater, my first instinct is to always shop my own closet after I get a party invite. (And let’s be honest, those aren’t flooding my inbox!)
But if I was the type of person who had a big social life, I could see this outfit fitting in at a friend gathering, a festive Zoom Christmas party, or watching a lights display from the warmth of my vehicle.
Plus each piece can be mixed and matched on its own. I just wore this green turtleneck for Thanksgiving last month and I plan to wear the heck of these red pants for Valentine’s Day!

👗 WHAT I’M WEARING 💄
Thrifted red pants + green turtleneck + purse, approx. $10 total | thredUP moto jacket + red hat, paid with store credit | Outlet store booties, $10 | Colourpop lippie stix in Trust Me (buy exact lip color)
Treat Your’elf
Because my entire outfit was sourced secondhand for a steal; that means I have enough money left over to buy some awesome (and thrifty) gifts for my family & friends this year.
Buying online from thredUP also meant I got exactly what I wanted without having to compromise my personal style this holiday season. I just typed in what I wanted in the search bar, like “white moto jacket”, and found several options!
I love that thrifting is a fun and affordable way to treat yourself and others!
What kind of secondhand gifts did you buy for others this year? My go-to is always books and games! (ignore that if you’re someone in my family lol)
