Looking Fab in Fast Fashion
It’s the busy season for retail which means I’ve been on call more often to capture new arrivals and other store moments as a social media manager in a mainstream clothing store.
(My sweats are still in heavy rotation as I do lots of my work at home, too!)
Suffice to say I’ve been very busy styling and have a lot of outfits to share for this round-up! Let me know if you have a question about any piece or need a style number. (I’ll try my best if it’s still in stock! 🤞)
Fur Real
I put together this outfit at Maurices but can’t take any credit for how cool it turned out. It was directly inspired by an image in our holiday mailer! But I was impressed with how it all came together.
Props to the corporate stylist who came up with it in the first place! The use of patterns and textures is perfect!
Pajama Party
It’s not often that I share pajamas on this blog but Maurices brought back holiday PJ sets (they’ve been missing the last few years!) and my co-workers and I were excited to try them on.
Of course, we made lots of content, too, because this is work after all. Check out the Maurices social media pages to support our style!
A Cozy Christmas Outfit
Maurices really hit the mark with holiday-themed clothing this year. Case in point: I styled up this super soft red fair isle sweater with a plaid vest, jeans, and a cream-colored hat. It’s so festive and fun! I feel like an extra in a Hallmark Christmas movie!
Talking Turkey
We had a special in-store promo I put together for Thanksgiving/Deal Hunting weekend and had to dress the part. My outfit is mostly thrifted but still got the point across!
A Busy Black Friday
I stepped in to help cover a floor shift for one of the busiest shopping days of the year – Black Friday. Our theme was “black with buffalo plaid” which was fun to channel my inner grunge chick. lol
Buffalo Bar Babe
More buffalo plaid! Is it even retail if there’s not plaid during the holiday season?! I don’t think so!
This was a just-for-fun outfit I wore to help promote the red buffalo set. It was comfy and sold really well!
One Cardigan, Two Outfits
Workwear is my Achilles heel, as I’ve never worked in an office setting. But I still like imagining what I would wear if I had a closet full of work wear as stylish as these!
For these looks, I styled a tweed cardigan two different ways for a fashion challenge. Do you like it buttoned up or open? I’m leaning toward having it open!
Fake Outfits With Faux Leather
After trying on the cardigan look above, I had a few more new arrivals in the fitting room and decided to try them on. These aren’t outfits, per se, just having fun with some clothes! They look pretty good with this faux leather skirt… I think I need to add one to my closet!
Christmas Colors
This mostly thrifted look was worn when I hosted a live video to announce a Christmas promotion we were having. I love any excuse to wear red lipstick and glitter shoes!
Holi-Date Outfit Ideas
Um, how cute are these outfits?! You might not even notice they’re styled using the same floral blouse! We love a versatile top!
Vest Day Ever!
This outfit was worn for my second and last holiday floor shift. Our theme was “vest day ever” and I wanted to wear a puffer vest but don’t own one. My co-worker let me borrow hers and I think it helped pull it all together! All pieces are old Maurices, except the boots. The day was so crazy that I almost sold the jeans right off my body. LOL
In Clothes-ing
That’s all the outfits I have to share right now but I’m sure I will have plenty coming up with new arrivals hitting the store for 2023.
Do you need a style number for a Maurices piece or more information about something I’m wearing? Let me know in the comments!
Also, be sure to Pin your favorite outfit to recreate later!
