Forget floral for spring, I’m all about floral for winter!
There’s no time like the present to wear what you want. Why wait for some magical date on a calendar to tell you how to dress?
This is the skirt that landed me in the pages of InStyle magazine so I felt pressure to step up my styling for another outfit. Let’s break the look down…
Inspiration for this outfit actually struck after reading a different magazine last month. The page had a model in a floor length floral gown with a long sleeve lace top layered carefully underneath. I had to find a way to copy it!
I chose to interpret the look with this knee length skirt and lace t-shirt to keep it casual for daytime. No runways or red carpets for me!
And because red is one of my favorite colors to wear, I went all out with the matching accessories. You can’t have too much of a good thing, right?
My favorite element of this look are these gold lion head earrings. Trust me, I am just as obsessed as you are with with them and just as surprised at the luck I had finding them at the thrift store! I did link similar secondhand pairs down below if you’re interested in being jewelry twins.
That about wraps things up! Are you yay or neigh in breaking the fashion “rules”? Would you wear floral for winter or are you saving the pattern for warmer weather? Let me know in the comments!
