Whether you’re a craftinista or a fashionista, this DIY piano keyboard clutch hits all the right notes!
To continue with the ’70s theme that my blog has had all week, I’m going to share with you how I made my piano keyboard clutch from my previous outfit post.
It was directly inspired by a 1976 issue of Seventeen magazine but I modified it to fit with my skill level and supplies on hand. That’s the fun in being creative! I chose a super simple no-sew route but if you’re handy with a needle then this would be a great project to sew yourself.
If you’re ready to make this then so am I! These are the supplies I used but, like I said, feel free to use what you have on hand:
Supplies: White felt, sticky back black felt, marker, scissors, tacky glue, clutch/purse/wallet, and ruler
And here’s the instructions for making your own. Scroll down to watch them in video form or enjoy the slideshow picture feature to follow along.
And for anyone who prefers watching video instructions infused with my bad jokes and awkward dancing, here ya go:
I could see this idea being turned into a super cute wallet or applied to other projects like a scarf or a t-shirt. The sky’s the limit!
If you make this, be sure to let me know by hittin’ me up on my social networks. I’d love to see how you interpret this! 🙂
SUCH a cute clutch. Also, I watched the video almost solely for the awkward dancing. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who awkward dances. 😉
