When a skirt looks as awesome as this orange chevron beauty, it doesn’t surprise me that a fellow fashionista would want to wear it too.
It’s time for another post featuring a double dose of outfit inspiration. My friend Noelle of The Classy Junk and I both own the exact same skirt so we thought it’d be fun to style them up and share the results with you.
Up first, let’s see how I did…
This skirt has been sitting around in my closet since I thrifted it in that one 50 cent clothing haul and I frequently get the urge to wear it but am stumped.
So what do you wear with an orange chevron skirt? I don’t think there’s a correct answer but I went with a nearly identical colored blouse! I’m not gonna try to ‘blogger’ the situation and tell you how seasonally appropriate I look or how on trend I am. Because I’m not.
But what I am doing is expressing my personal style and wearing a monochromatic look. Those are two things that never go out of style!
In addition to dressing in head-to-toe brightness, I broke up the look with a handmade puzzle piece necklace, a slightly over-sized denim jacket, and a pair of practical black flats.
I’m glad I finally found a way to wear this skirt, and not a moment too soon! Truth be told, I was pretty chilly in these photos. Fall is officially upon us! Maybe next time I wear this skirt, you’ll be seeing it with equally colorful tights!
But until then, head over to Noelle’s blog to see how she styled this same skirt to work with the chilly fall temperatures. Did she wear it with tights? Who knows! You’ll have to click thru to find out…

I adore your look! The colors are a perfect match for each other and the necklace is the perfect missing piece! (See what I did there? Eh? Eh?)
