I’ll try to keep this short.. here’s the simple way I wear shorts with tights.
Now that fall is in it’s prime, I’m going through my favorite outfits pretty quick.
There’s only so many ways I can wear tights with my skirt or dresses before I get bored. And don’t even get me started on how often I put my limited pant selection to use!
Thankfully I thrifted what I call “winter shorts”, in my last thrift haul video, and they’re just the thing to shake up my dressing routine.
I styled almost this exact outfit for my autumn thrifted look book video but loved it so much that I wanted to put it together for a proper blog post. A few of you had asked about what to wear with shorts like these and this is what I came up with.
Shorts with tights feels kind of classy to me (but not really because they’re totally wearable for any occasion) so I played with that idea and added a sheer white button down and a vintage sweater vest on top.
To add a little quirk, I pinned a squirrel brooch at the collar. It’s made from a pair of wooden earrings I picked up at a garage sale. I sent the other one to my friend Kristina of Eyre Effect because she’s the queen of brooches. I guess you could say we’re pin pals now. ?
