I feel like I’ve been waiting to post about this weekend for the longest time!
Where do I even begin? Last Saturday was the best night of my life. I got to be in the presence of an 1980s music legend/personal icon of mine and I lived to vlog about it!
I WENT TO A BILLY JOEL CONCERT! I’m still not sure if it was the real thing or just a fantasy. Regardless, I loved every minute of it and am positive nothing will ever compare to it and the rest of my life will just be a big letdown.
But before I fall into a pit of despair, let’s look at what I wore!
The concert was a few hours away from me so my mom and I decided to make it a road trip that included thrifting, non-fast food restaurants, and an overnight stay. It was such a great mini getaway!
My real concert outfit differed from the one in this post because I made the realization that the venue had no enclosure. I felt jeans would be more comfortable than shorts when it came to sitting on a hard bench, exposed to the elements.
It was the right choice! The predicted thunderstorm never showed up and we all enjoyed perfect weather and great music under the stars. (All 45,000 of us!)
If I could do it all over again there’s not a single thing that I would change. The weekend was absolutely perfect!
And if you’re curious about this t-shirt, it’s not actually vintage which means you have a chance to own one yourself! I searched high and low for a true vintage concert tee but ended up empty handed. Urban Outfitters had this repro listed for under $30 and I was into the style so I went for it. I didn’t see anyone else wearing the shirt so I guess I made a really good choice!
As a side note for the fit, the website lists it as being a “fitted” t-shirt but it’s actually just an average unisex tee. I utilized the free exchange option on Urban Outfitters after my first shirt arrived too big. (I’m a size 8 and originally ordered a large but went with a medium instead.) The fabric is just a stiff cotton but I’m not concerned because I care more about the image on the shirt as opposed to how soft it is.
I hope you all have a chance in life to experience your dream weekend. Life’s too short not to!
