I’m head over heels for these colorful socks I’m rocking in this outfit.

It was love at first site when I laid eyes on Tabbisocks.com. They’ve really got the monopoly on adorable leg wear in kitschy patterns.
Another thing that attracted me to them was that they ask their customers what it means to #LiveYourColor. I was instantly reminded of True Colors by Cyndi Lauper and felt a kinship to the campaign.
To me, #LiveYourColor is dressing and acting in a way that makes you happy, regardless of what the world thinks. I took that mantra and put it into this outfit. Here’s what I came up with…
Tabbisocks was kind enough to let me pick out a pair of OTK socks from their new fall collection. This particular green and orange pair made me feel all warm and fuzzy about the season and so they were an obvious choice.
I made a conscious effort to wear lots of colors in my look – no black – which I found to be a fun personal challenge.
Ultimately I went with this orange dress (previously worn here) and paired it with a bunch of beige pieces. My belt, cardigan, and necklace are all very neutral and let the socks be the main focus.
I kind of felt like a pumpkin, but, like a really cute pumpkin.
I’m sure the question everyone is dying to have answered is “how do they stay up?”. Unfortunately, this pair was no match for my chubby thighs and they inevitably rolled down. Luckily they landed in my knee crease (cute term, huh?) and didn’t budge after that.
But I’ve heard rumors on the internet about glues, tape, and even good ol’ fashioned garter belts to help keep them in place. They’re worth looking into if you’re more of a perfectionist than me.
All in all, I’d say this outfit embodies my #LiveYourColor message and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. Dare I say that these socks are my sole-mate?
Ok ok, I’ll stop with puns.. but only if you tell me in the comments what #LiveYourColor means to you. ?
