The Secret To My Thrifting Success
Would you go to grocery store without making a list? If you said no, then why are you going to a thrift store without a plan in mind? While there is no right or wrong way to thrift, you’ll be much more successful if you go in with a game plan.
I recently gushed about my visit to a Goodwill grand opening and while it was easy shopping a brand new location because everything was so clean and organized, I still went in with a purpose. My goal was to thrift an outfit for $10 or less and that’s exactly what I did! I walked out with this long sleeve green dress and this beautiful floral kimono. (The rest of my outfit was gifts so that still keeps me within my budget!)
I stuck to my plan by…
• Keeping my budget in mind. Watch out for those sales and discounts!
• Checking my thrifting wishlist. This kept me from buying anything unnecessary.
• Picking up everything that matched my criteria and edited it down later.
Some of you may find this idea limiting when you shop but just look at this outfit. I think it’s all the proof I need that having a strategy can help you be successful!
