‘Tis the season for Secret Santa swaps and too many Christmas cookies, right?
This year, I participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange with the girls of Shaped By Style. We drew names at random and shopped for our chosen person and then snail mailed our gifts to one another. It sounds like a lot of of work but it was actually very fun and rewarding!
Any guess who my Secret Santa was?
My Secret Santa turned out to be Kristina of Eccentric Owl! I only met Kristina this year because of the group but we’ve become fast friends through our love of thrifting and our former homeschool pasts, among many other things.
I am so in love with her gift. She picked out the sweetest mint green sweater that, after trying it on, I learned was super soft to boot! Any Santa that brings me clothes is my favorite kind of Santa.
I ended up wearing my gift for some last minute Christmas shopping over the weekend. Since Kristina noted that the color of the sweater would look good with my hair, I ran with that idea and built a whole outfit full of color. I’d like to think that pink and green are my version of Christmas colors.
Also, I was really feeling my messy curls on this day so of course I snapped a shameless selfie that doesn’t show off any of my outfit.
I’ve had some bad Secret Santa experiences in the past but this one turned out so good and I couldn’t be more thankful.
I also had a good time picking out gifts for my recipient and being able to pass on a gift to somebody else. The name I drew ended up being Lyndsey of Dressed in Mascara. We’ve been best friends for a couple years so my gift to her was a little more than a regular gift and had some sentimental value attached. I’d encourage you to read her blog post to get the full story. I’ll warn you that it’s kind of gushy. 😉

AAAH I am so glad it fits! I fell in love with that sweater when I saw it and the detail and the softess and everything was too pretty to pass up! My only regret is that I couldn’t send more. Merry Christmas, my friend!
