My parents used to warn me about meeting up with strangers I met online, but my mom took it surprisingly well when I broke the news to her that I was getting together with Katie of That Katie Girl. Essentially an online stranger.
I can assure you Katie and I are far from strangers now, especially after spending the day together. I had a blast showing her around my hometown, gawking at tourists, eating ice-cream frozen custard from Culvers, and cramming in a secondhand shopping session. (Ok so it was more like 3 stores. I said it’s a small town!)
Who knew two former homeschoolers from the middle of nowhere would meet online and become friends?? Ummm.. probably everyone.
I can’t recommend Katie enough as a blogger, friend, or new online stranger for you to follow. Hop over to her blog to see our day from her perspective and then subscribe because she’s just so freakin’ cool and stylish.

I need to do more blogger meetups! Hopefully I’ll be meeting Rya Pie soon, since we live in the same state and all. I told her she can just come and gawk at how pregnant I am. Because I am so pregnant, it’s become a good source for jokes.
Katie! Love her – she’s such a doll! Looks like you both had a great time.
Also, I’m loving your outfit, especially the white lace top; super cute!
P.S. Totally know what you mean about meeting people online. My boyfriend and I met online and I did not tell my mom that fact until much much later!
xoxo,
Laura
