Making a Statement in a Parrot Shaped Necklace

This outfit is for the birds! Or at least that’s what you’d think considering I’m wearing a statement necklace in the shape of a parrot. But I think humans will enjoy this look just the same because, come on, it’s an awesome outfit!

I don’t normally post outfits based around jeans because I find them a bit ordinary.. which is not a word that people use to describe me. Ha!

But when I put this outfit together for a family dinner last week, I had a good feeling about it. If you swap out the jeans for a skirt, this look would still be sensational!

I thrifted this pink striped vintage blouse this month and couldn’t help but wear it right away. For it’s inaugural look, I paired it with jeans (last seen here) to give it a bit of retro flair.

To continue with the retro theme, this parrot shaped statement necklace had to be worn. It has a throwback vibe PLUS makes me feel like I should be on an island somewhere.

There was no island involved in our family outting but I still stepped up my usual attire by wearing high heels. I wish I could link to these (but they were found at a local outlet store) because their comfort is da bomb! At the end of the day, I forgot I was even wearing them. I wish all high heels were like that!

This is the perfect outfit to celebrate family, food, or even just a Monday. 😉

Next time you go to your closet to wear a pair of jeans, why not style them with something other than your go-to tee or sweatshirt? You’re not a boring person and your jeans don’t have to be either. Go forth and make some crazy fashion choices!
