Halloween only comes one day a year but you can rock a spooky street style any time with rad clothing like this skull print dress!
Disclaimer: Dress in this post was a gift from Angry, Young, and Poor. Everything else is 100% me.
I’m stoked to be joining forces with Angry, Young, and Poor today to show you how to wear clothes seen as a “costume” for everyday wear. Really, why wait for Halloween?
I chose a dress from Angry, Young, and Poor because they’re an online shop (with a brick & mortar store in Lancaster, PA) that has been around for a whomping 21 years in November. They strive to be your one stop punk, metal, and goth music and clothing shop so they really know their stuff!
This scatterbrain dress by Iron Fist immediately brought to mind Wednesday Addams. Her look has really gained popularity as a costume in the last few years so I thought it would be perfect to dissect.
Wednesday was known for a goth style so I wanted to play around with that but still add some of my own feminine touches. To do that, I wore a white button under the dress, tied a black ribbon around my neck, and strutted in some new-to-me stacked heel booties.
On the flip side, the edgy elements of my outfit are the liquid leggings, a swipe of moody lipstick, and a dark hat to top it all off.
Basically, I’m Wednesday Addams on a Tuesday. Ha!
Hopefully this post inspires you to re-imagine your costumes in a whole new way. Take chances, make mistakes, get messy! (Wait, I think that’s a quote from one of my old Halloween costumes?)
If you wanna try your hand at styling a costume for everyday, I’d recommend shopping from Angry, Young, and Poor. You can even use the code “AYPRepeater” to save 10% on all non-music purchases thru Dec 31st, 2016. This isn’t a trick, just a treat for you!
