Another day, another outfit that looks ripped straight out of the 1980s.
I promised myself not to take outfit pictures on days when the temperature is single digits but then I wore this red cardigan (a vintage gift I unboxed from Hollis Eve Co!) around my house and felt completely sure that I would be warm enough to do it.
This cardigan is so much thicker than it appears and kept me toasty for this quick jaunt to my backyard. Though I’d have to think my Hot Hands and the millions of layers I’m wearing underneath also helped immensely.
Because this cardigan is so laden in ’80s vibes, I took outfit inspiration from an unlikely John Hughes movie character – Allison a.k.a the basketcase from The Breakfast Club.
While red wasn’t something her character would wear, slouchy clothing that could withstand a Saturday detention is right up her alley. (You don’t know how long I’ve been wanting to make that pun about Ally Sheedy!)
Not to mention my mind has been in a funk for months now so I feel like I totally committed to the role!
On that note, I’ve made the decision to put my blog on pause once again. Or at least on super slow-mo. I just don’t have the mental capacity right now and, because of the weather, it doesn’t feel right to risk my health for the sake of some staged outfit photos in the elements. I have to draw the line somewhere!
I’ll still keep up with videos, tutorials, and other fun content – maybe even an outfit post if the weather hits a certain point. But right now a break is definitely needed.
This isn’t a goodbye, just a see ya later. Don’t you forget about me!

This really does look like something from The Breakfast Club.
Love the red lippy.
I stopped taking outdoor photos as soon as it got cooler. I don’t understand those bloggers that can still take photos when it is well below freezing outside. When my pug doesn’t even want to go outside that’s a sign it is too cold, especially considering she wears furry pants daily.
bisous

Your cardigan looks so warm, and it looks good for now not just the 80s. Have a good break from blogging. Your very last words – the ‘Don’t You..’ reference – made me laugh out loud! Kx
Love that cardigan so much. Rad! <3
