Wearing unique clothes may have my heart but these essential clothes are the real stars of my closet!
Disclaimer: I received some items courtesy of Long Tall Sally for the purpose of this post. All opinions are my own.
This outfit may be fall-appropriate but everything I’m wearing is a classic item that I believe should be in your closet year round.
Long Tall Sally hooked me up with some great basics to style and I’m so stoked! Having clothes that fit my long torso are such a stroke of luck. Here’s what I picked out and why I think they should be in your wardrobe all year.
My first pick is a plain white tee. What sets this one apart is it’s incredible length because, as I mentioned, my torso is long and everything ends up showing more skin than intended. This is perfect for pairing with solid colored jeans in cooler weather or adding a bit of modesty to a pair of shorts in the heat.
But my favorite of the two pieces I picked is the long line cardigan. This exact item has been on my thrifting wishlist for awhile and I had a feeling it’d be better to buy it first-hand. I can picture wearing this to keep cozy for summer bonfires or adding a layer of warmth in the winter. And the soft gray color is perfect for matching any combo you come up with!
Everything else is an item from my own closet to round things up. My hat and scarf were chosen to add a unique edge and a red lip is my signature!
If you want more info on the basics that Long Tall Sally sells, I’d highly recommend checking out this post from their blog. From this first expirience with their clothes, the cardigan in a size medium has an ideal slouchy fit but the t-shirt in the same size is too big and I could easily wear a small to accommodate my size 8 frame.
I hope this post was a great introduction to the Long Tall Sally website and gave you a new perspective on basic clothes. We can’t be #extra all the time! haha
